In October of 2016, Susie and one of her long-term clients, Kech Carera, brainstormed what would eventually become BIBO (short for Blow In Blow Out Inc), a Blow Dry Bar and full service salon with waxing and make-up opportunities.

Hair stylist Leahla Kreutz

Leahla Kreutz

Leahla has always had a love of beauty and all things creative and for those reasons she decided to center her career around making people feel amazing through the art of hairstyling. At 19, she graduated from Shoreline School of Cosmetology in Santa Cruz, California and has been working in the hair industry ever since. After 2 1\2 years of an intensive assisting program at a bustling, high-end salon and honing her craft in precision haircutting, coloring, and styling, she heard of a new technique that caught her attention. It’s an amazing way of cutting, coloring, and styling specifically for those with wavy and curly hair called Devacurl. Having naturally curly and unruly hair herself, and coming from a long line of women and men with curly hair she knew first-hand the struggle of finding someone who really understands it.
Leahla wanted to share what she learned with clients in a way that would change the way they looked at their hair and thanks to the consistently amazing results, Devacurl method became her passion. Within the first year of working with this specific technique, she had done training in San Francisco, assisted and worked closely with the Westcoast educator, and worked with top stylists at the flagship Manhattan Salon as well. Soon Leahla had built a busy and thriving clientele almost completely centered around curly hair and 12 years later she still loves every second of it!
Three years ago, Leahla moved back to her hometown of Oakland and is ready to bring her love of the craft to Bibo Salon. She excels at anything from taming curly and frizzy hair into a sleek new hairstyle and blowout, to setting curls free with a Deva curly cut and fresh new color.
“I love giving the best experience possible to each client, whether it be listening, helping them with at-home care, a new pop of color, or a complete new look. My goal is for everyone to leave my chair loving their hair and with more confidence than they walked in with. If you are happy, then so am I!”

Hair stylist Angel McCoy

Angel McCoy

Angel became a licensed cosmetologist in 2010. Her interest in hair began with the difficulties of her own hair as well as always  playing with all my friends’ hair throughout grade school. In 8th grade, a  research project fully persuaded  Angel  to take her hair hobby and make it her career.  From that time forward, the art of hair pulled her  in tight.  Being able to use her creativity and vision to make someone else feel beautiful is what it’s all about for Angel. Whether it’s your wedding day, prom, anniversary or just because. Angel holds visual artistry close to her heart.  Having been a dancer for all of her life and being able to use hair her daily canvas is what inspires her. Fun fact about Angel:  “I’m such a music and movie junky. I keep a great playlist playing through my speakers and always down for a movie night-in!”
